Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the South Island of New Zealand.

Time

We were traveling with a tour group and arrived at this location around mid day.

Lighting

The skies were quite dramatic during this time which was just two days after a typhoon had crossed the Tasman Sea.

Equipment

This photo was shot with an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II with a 24 to 70 mm lens.

Inspiration

This is my first visit to a glacier and I was struck by the drama of the scene.

Editing

I process all my photos through Photoshop CC. I generally add some clarity and some saturation to my photos.

In my camera bag

I travel now exclusively with Olympic gear generally two bodies and four lenses.

Feedback

My advice is to spend less money on gear and more money on your travel budget. Identify interesting places that you would like to visit and make the effort to get there.
