Behind The Lens

Location

Punakaiki, South Island, New Zealand

Time

11am

Lighting

The skies were amazing that day because a cyclone had just crossed the Tasman Sea and hit the west coast of New Zealand the day before.

Equipment

Olympus OM-D E-M1, 12-40mm Olympus Pro lens, Handheld

Inspiration

This was such a dramatic setting with these awesome rock formations and ominous skies.

Editing

This is a 3 shot, 3 stop HDR shot, with post processing done in Nik's HDR Pro.

In my camera bag

Olympus OM-D E-M1 12-40mm Olympus kens 9-18mm Olympus Lens 100-300mm Panasonic lens Vanguard Nivelo 245 lightweight tripod

Feedback

Don't be afraid to shoot HDR hand held. Inc your ISO, auto bracket and use high speed burst mode.
