Total right place at the right time. This is NOT a photoshopped image. End of a long day of shooting. Driving back to the room, and just happened to catch a glimpse of this eagle silhouette against the moon. Could I get?!? I didn't know. It was way off road. The moon was rising fast. Had to wade through the bushes taller than I was, kept having to readjust my position because the moon was moving. This was the one image with the eagle actually looking in that direction. In the end, I'm happy with it. Hope you enjoy it also.

Opportunity! How can you not try to line up this shot when you see it happening. Total right place at the right time. End of a long day of shooting. Driving back to the room, and just happened to catch a glimpse of this eagle silhouette against the moon. Could I get?!? I didn't know. It was way off road. The moon was rising fast. Had to wade through the bushes taller than I was, kept having to readjust my position completely three different times because the moon was moving. This was the image that worked best in the end. I'm happy with it. Hope you enjoy it also.Editing
A lot of noise reduction, sharpening. Colors are not enhanced. In my camera bag
Backup 1Ds Mark III, newly added Canon 1DX, the 800 is my go-to lens almost exclusively when shooting wildlife.Feedback
Never pass on an opportunity to shoot. You can always learn something, even if the shot isn't usable. You might just capture something magic. Everyone know about the golden hours of photography but try shooting at all hours. Learn your equipment so well you can make adjustments on the fly, while you're still shooting. Carry your camera everywhere you go!
