Behind The Lens

Location

A took this photo at Kinney Lake in British Columbia inside the area of the Mount Robson park.

Time

It was morning and the water was so calm due to absence of wind. The reflection of the mountains on the water added a great touch to the scene.

Lighting

The sun was totally uncovered with a strong sun light, but the cold mountain air gives a good tones and visibility.

Equipment

I used a tripod with my Nikon D600 and a wide lens 16-35mm

Inspiration

Nothing in particular but I follow lot of master of landscapes, one name that I really like how he shoots, specially with his Canadian photo, is Paul Zizka.

Editing

There is a minor post process such exposure and contrast, nothing more to add to a natural scene.

In my camera bag

I usually try to travel with the most light equipment but sometimes depends what i am going to focus during the shooting. Usually I have one full frame body with a zoom wide lens, a 35 prime and a 70/200mm. Tripod and ND filters plus polarizing are the bread of everyday.

Feedback

Try always to have enough time to explore the area, find the good composition and do everything with calm waiting the like you are searching. Patience is the best requirements in nature photography
