I like the pic. The couple is classic and cute and I think it's great you left space above them. It makes them seem more diminutive and charming...

thanks a lot for the comments! I am still feeling uncomfortable photographing people in public areas, especially elder ones...but I couldn't resist on taking a photo of them: they were so touching, and the moment was so unique and the capture so speaking to me... :)

Location
I met this couple in Vienna State Opera during an intermissionTime
it was late evening, usual performance time for operaLighting
the lighting was extremely pure, it was indoors, I had no speedlight and I was trying to take the photo unnoticed...Equipment
Canon EOS 60D, Canon 18-200mm lens, no tripod, no flash...Inspiration

I did some post-processing because the photo was taken in pure light conditions, without necessary equipment, in a rush not to miss the moment and trying to be unnoticed...I don't remember exactly but it was a color photo, luckily in a RAW formatIn my camera bag
Canon EOS 60D, Canon 18-200mm lens, Canon macro 60mm, Canon speedlight, sometimes a tripod...Feedback
The fact that I have this photo is a classical example for me that a photographer should always take a camera with him/her and, as this was a kind of street photo, all the advice that is being given for street photo applies here. And the most important one is not being ashamed to take a photo of strangers...it has always been a delicate moment for me especially with elder people, like in this case...but I advise in any case to take a photo, especially when you are sure it is not something provoking, and in case the persons would resist on deleting it you can always do that, or convince that you are doing it for good purposes and the society will have a nice example of a candid photo and a photo that worths 1000s words....and when you will feel more comfortable, you would not have to do later a lot of post-processing, will think more about composition and proper exposure and will capture an unforgettable moment
