Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken at Westfield Pill in Pembrokeshire.

Time

Mid afternoon, around 3pm.

Lighting

It was quite dull so i used fill flash set at 50%

Equipment

Hand held with my Canon 5d mkll

Inspiration

I was looking for the Herons that nest at the pill when the Robin flew next to me, it sat for a while so i took the opportunity to snap it.

Editing

Slightly increased colour saturation in photoshop but nothing else was needed

In my camera bag

I always carry my 5d mkll along with my canon 430exll flash and my Nissin macro ringflsh. My lenses are canon 70-200mm L IS and my Sigma 70mm macro. I also carry my Manfrotto tripod.

Feedback

You must be patient. Give yourself plenty of time to get the shot you want. Plan the possible shots beforehand and take the equipment you may need.
