Washington, DC is a marvelous city for photography. This light post was beautiful, and it just caught my eye.

Editing

Just a bit of tweaking of contrast...

In my camera bag

I carry a Sony Nex-6 and a Sony a6000. My lenses are a 16-55mm, 14mm, 50-210mm and a fish-eye.

Feedback

Objects and opportunities for photos similar to this are everywhere. My advice for something like this would be to get up close and try to get an unusual angle, as opposed to standing back and getting a scene with the building, the sidewalk etc.
