This was taken summer of 2011 during the period typically associated with the "Indian summer." Its the north shore of Lake Superior, with the city of Duluth off in the distance providing the wonderful halo of light shimmering through the fog and casting light onto the still lake. This is one of my favorite spots to photograph as it offers fantastic vantage points of both the sunrise and sunset as well as a fantastic spot to watch a Full Moon rise up over Lake Superior.
