This was taken last spring during the sunrise on Managaha Island, off the coast of Saipan in the south pacific. This tiny island is deserted after the afternoon tourist rush and is available to camp on by the locals. You essentially have an island to yourself to explore and is a great place for photographers. It almost feels like your in a Jurassic park setting, just waiting for a dino to lurk out of the jungle. The storms rolling through all night left the pier soaked and prime for some wonderful reflections of color and light as the sun just barely breaks over the clouds.
