Taken on the South shore of Lake superior during the fall at sunset. Playing with the ultra wide-angle Tokina 11-6mm f2.8 lens, I decided to play with using a very shallow DOF and multiple exposures instead of the normal wide, everything-in-focus landscape shot HDR. I think the effect is effective in bringing out the detail in the wood grain as well as accentuate the tiny green seedling growing out of a giant dead drift trunk.
