I took this in my I wish I had a stiudio so I use my living room when nobodys home, I used a card table and a black sheetTime
I remember it was in the evening because I had to stop after work to pick up the dry iceLighting
I havent done much product shoots before so I kind of just kept trying diferent things I used an off camera flash with a white foamboard clamped to a stand for a little fillEquipment
my Canon Eos rebel XSI, with the 18-55 kit lens, a Sigma EF-610 DG Super off camera with a flash triger tripod and cable release and some foamboardInspiration
this was for my local camera club contest theme was in the mist, I like to try and think out of the box and knew everyone else would have fog and mist over water and such so as i went to get a soada from the fridge I saw the bottle and the word mist was like boom here I am so I started thinking of ways to use it. the first couple of shots just didnt cut it untill i thought about the dry ice then it was just like wow this is it, I never used it before but had a blast, biggest problem I had was the bottle kept falling over right befor I hit the shutterEditing
I didnt do a lot just some viberence adjustments a little sharpening and cleaned up the mist in some spots with the healing brushIn my camera bag
Oh boy lets see there is my Canon Eos rebel XSI, with the 18-55 kit lens ,an EF-S 55-250mm (love this lens) , also a 75-300mm as well , My Flash is a Sigma EF-610 DG Super, also always have my Canon PowerShot SX260 HS ( witch is pretty impressive for a point and shoot ), and course all the little things like filters and batteries, cables and remotes and I always carry a garbage bag (for rain protection )Feedback
keep your mind wide open to things and think outside the norm, it funny without even trying I have seemed to have made a style to my photos, I always try to think what would someone else do then i do it frrom a different point of view, it's funny some of the club members will say when thinking of the monthly themes I tried to take it in Johns style LOL
