Location
This photo was taken in my front yard in Boynton Beach, FL.Time
This photo was taken January 21, 2012 at around 1:30 in the afternoon. (the day before my birthday :)Lighting
This was taken in the shade on a sunny afternoon in south FL.Equipment
This was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P90, ƒ/4.5, 9.2 mm, 1/79, ISO 64.Inspiration
These cute little tree frogs are all over my yard and never seem to leave. On this day it was rather chilly out (well by Florida standards anyways) and this guy was pretty much just sitting there and not moving at all. So i figured why not try and take some pics of him while hes still. Well after slowly getting closer and closer to him this is the result i got.Editing
I converted to B&W and played with the contrast a bit. Then made a layer mask to bring back the color in the eye to make it really POP.In my camera bag
Currently a Canon T3i, 18-55 & 55-250 mm lenses, lens wipes, a large zip lock bag (in south FL you need something just in case of rain), a pocket knife (you never know when itll come in handy) and band aids (im quite accident prone lol).Feedback
When trying to take pics of animals of any kind patience is a must!! Stay quiet and slowly make your way closer to your subject so as not to spook them. I find colder days best for taking pics of normally skittish creatures as it tends to slow them down and bring them out into the sun to warm them selves up.
