Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken in Romania city Suceava. It was an idea from Joey L.

Time

I think i was around 1900, sunset was gone. I like a lot that light after sunset pased

Lighting

It was ambient light and no hard shadows since it was close to midnight. I saw the light that i need it for this picture and the person was wearing the clothes that i wanted.

Equipment

This was shot with 550d with 24-70 mk2 f/2.8 and that's it

Inspiration

Joey L made a studio shoot on creative life. A blizzard in studio and i got the idea from him.

Editing

Everything it photoshoped here. I don't have a studio nor the equipment to make this shot in camera. So only the subject with the clothes is real.

In my camera bag

Most of the time 550d with 24-70mk2 f/2.8 and 70-200 is 2 f/2.8. For more heavy work i take 5d mk3 and if need it i have just one flash right now 600ex-rt with the canon transmiter

Feedback

If you can do it in camera would be great, you could learn a lot. If not then be good at photoshop and know first what you want the picture to look like. If you try with ambient light, be careful on shadows even if it's cloudy you still can't have a great light everywhere so be careful where you place you're subject. Also if you think you have it, you can try miner adjustments, you never know it might be better. Most important have an idea first, don't hope you got something, be i got the picture that i wanted!
