This photo is showing to us what we can capture during a deep dark sky. When I took the photo it was full moon. So, here is the moon which is arguably the brightest object you can see at night, and of course the stars, the lone rock as my foreground and I was blessed because during the time I took the photo one car passed by and left taillights. If we are going to think, nowadays, photographers like us have difficulty to take images of the aforementioned objects because of light pollution which is for sure one of our roles as photographer to help fight against Light Pollution.

Location
The photo was made in Sierra Blanca, New Mexico, USA.Time
It was made at the middle of the night. We were traveling then in the mountainous part of New Mexico. It is an arid land and the only thing we found there was this rock. I saw the moon light striking to the scene and so we decided to stop made the photo.Lighting
There was moon during the time, I was struck by the beaming of its beauty. I saw stars that added to the glittering night. I used longer exposure to get more details, however in the process of waiting for the camera to capture the scene a car went by and left tail lights that added interest to the photo. I did also a little of light painting. Bam the result was so delightful.Equipment
I had my friend tripod with me, I used my canon camera, and wide angle lens. I used trigger release also.Inspiration
I am so much in loved with night scene. I am an addict to the beauty of the astrology so even though it will take me to a sleepless night but doesn't matter to me. I feel so much fulfilled taking photos of the night.Editing
Yes, bumped up the lighting i used in the stone and added a little of saturation. In my camera bag
Canon Lenses, wide angle and telephoto lenses, filters, canon cameras, trigger release, tripodFeedback
When you really want to take photos of the night, you can scout for a location, look at your calendar, study the moon phases, study where you can locate the northern stars. Have the picture in your mind first. Study the possibilities what you can get during such time. Remember it is night scene and night scene needs tripod. Then ask yourself if you are ready to sacrifice your night sleep, if so then you are ready, then take the photo! Always have this in mind that your lens and camera can change the world. Take the photo and show to the world the beauty of the place we are living in with us helping to nurture them.
