My hubby keeps wondering why I am not buying fancy clothes, so I took him with me down to the beaver pond. To get this photo we were going down embankments, going under and over fallen trees, walking through mud and precariously holding on to a tree limb while taking the shot. While we were down at the beaver pond, I spied this Great Blue Heron with a snake he had caught. As you can see, it was a very long snake. It took 7 minutes for the Great Blue Heronto find a way to eat it.
