It was in fairly deep shade, I only used what was there. (Ambient light.) Because Zoe is against the cliff, we do not get top lighting and "raccoon eyes". Most of the light had to be coming from the front, & that makes for a soft look.Equipment

Very little. Exposure was fine out of the camera. I did adjust the color & desaturate it a bit. The only substantial editing was the reduction of the naso-labial creases. No cropping. Those trained in classical photo critique will cringe at the amputated fingers & toes, an absolute no-no for the camera club set. The only thing that makes this image work is Model Zoe West's great smile! This is an excellent example of a great subject making up for just average camera work.In my camera bag
