Whilst I like this picture, I think it lacks a little clarity and focus on the eyes that would lift it to a truly masterpiece image. I have similar difficulties in achieving this type of success. I need to work more on my manual focussing and my exposure times to increase my depth of field. If your model is available for more shots, you could try a combination of both, her eyes would be worth it. :)

This was shot with an 85mm lens at f2.2 I was experimenting with narrow depth of field. I'm guessing f4.0 would have given me the depth of field that you are looking for. I'm satisfied with the depth of field on the eyes, (near eye sharp, distant eye blurred) but I don't like the blurring on the cloth covering her lower forehead. Thanks for taking the time to comment, it is appreciated.

BTW...the focus on one eye more than the other, for me at least, give the photo dimension. Excellent shot.
