Location
I took this photo at a skate park in Perth, Western Australia. It was such a beautiful day and I really wanted to try something different. Being an amateur Photographer, I wasn't sure what to expect and was quite surprised with the outcome.Time
The photo was taken at dusk and the weather was really beautiful. The sun was setting and created a perfect backdrop for this image. I took the photo as it was getting dark and was really amazed at the beautiful outline created in the photo. A beautiful silhouette created by Nature.Lighting
Besides the camera flash, natural lighting was used to its fullest potential. The reflection from the setting Sun also helped to achieve some natural special effects.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 1100D DSLR Camera to take this photo. I also used an EFS 18-55 mm lens.Inspiration
I really enjoy photographing Nature and wanted to do something really special featuring trees. The unique shape of the branches silhouetted against the sky was quite captivating. I had never done a silhouette shoot before so I was quite excited to see how amazing Nature helped in creating this shot. I like to call this photo : "Nature's Special Effects"Editing
No post-processing was done. I tried to keep the photo original as the natural lighting and camera flash maintained the photo's originality quite well.In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon EOS 1100D DSLR Camera in my camera bag. It also has an EFS 18-55mm lens which allows me more creative control with my shots. I also use a Lowepro camera bag as it is really lightweight with ample compartments for my accessories.Feedback
My advice would be to take risks and don't be afraid to experiment with different shots. Sunsets are my favourite time of day and I love the colours and formations created by Nature at this time of day. A good tip would be to always have your camera handy as you never know when Nature will spring a surprise.
