Beauty is in the most simple things, isn't it? Thank you for capturing something most people walk right past.

Location
This is one of my favourite images and probably one that I put the least amount of pre planning or forethought into. I was sitting at my kitchen table, mid afternoon, cleaning my camera and lenses and just happened to notice how the light coming through the venetian blinds had settled onto a bowl on kitchen bench...so having all my gear sitting in front of me I took the opportunity and took the shot before the light changed.Time
Mid afternoon.Lighting
I was immediately drawn to the geometric effect in the way the light had hit the bowl and my priority was to keep the image as sharp as I could to add to this effect.Equipment
My camera is a little mirror less Sony nex 5R with a 55-200mm zoom lens. I just used the natural light for this image and camera was hand held but steadied on a flat surface.Inspiration
I love the play of light and shadows and usually seek it out in my photography but this image just presented itself and thankfully I had all equipment on hand to seize the opportunity.Editing
This image was taken before I had access to PS so just basic editing in IPhoto. In my camera bag
On a day to day basis I always have my Sony Nex 5R plus the zoom I mentioned earlier but if I am out with the intention of just spending time shooting I have a range of compatible lenses as well, cleaning gear, an extra battery and a tripod.Feedback
As I mentioned earlier, this image was almost an accidental capture so my only advice would be to try and see the photographic opportunities in the ordinary and to try and have your equipment on hand or close whenever those opportunities arise.
