Location
We were on a photo safari going north of Luzon in the the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines. The province was one of the strongholds of the Spanish forces during the Spanish occupation of the Philippines. This photo was shot at the entrance of one of the watchtowers that guards the shores of Santiago, Ilocos Sur. Fortunately at the time of our Safari, a ballerina/photographer was with us and turned model for the shot.Time
This was taken around 2pm in the afternoon. Though the sunlight was so strong, inside the old structure reflecting light was great for the shot.Lighting
The light outside the old structure was quite harsh so we used the interior of the delapidated structure with growth of a Banyan Tree where light was reflected all around the interior having a wonderful light to take photos.Equipment
I used a nikon camera to take this shot. Lens used was the kit lens opened at 50mmInspiration
The historical value of the place and the superb lighting inside the delapidated structure.Editing
Yes converting it to black and white and to adjust the background light which was too bright for me.In my camera bag
A wide angle lens, a set of filters and long lens.Feedback
Spot a good location for the shoot and use your imagination to compose your shots.
