I was down at the beaver pond when I spotted this juvenile eagle in one of the trees. Something has attracted this juvenile eagle's attention at the beaver pond and he is debating whether to go or stay. What I like about this side shot of the jeuvenile eagle is that you get a good view of the underside of the leg and tail feathers which you normally don't see when they are just standing upright on a tree limb. The other thing is that if you look at the photo closely where the foot and back claw is, on the other side of the tree limb you see another of the claws. Do they ever look sharp.

Thank you. I was so surprized to see the "down type of feathers near the leg. Also, I never realized the back claw was so big

Thank you. I was really lucky that the jeuvenile eagle was sitting in a tree that did NOT have tons of branches, so it wasn't obscured at all.

A great catch. I have tried bird hunting with my camera many times. I always end up with a bunch of branches on the shots, hehe. Very nice catch, there!

I can appreciate that. I haven't yet been able to get a decent photo of birds flying - just a multi exposure of wings that look like they are an electrical fan. LOL!
