This particular sunrise was full of contrasts. As I stood on what was left of a wharf with open spaces and missing boards, I thought about how things change. The recent storm had torn up what was a perfectly good wharf. I was happy to have a large safe area remaining to stand on. To the left of me was a brilliant dark orange sky with a halo of light orange and yellow in it. To my right was soft pink. Behind me bellowing clouds of various shades of soft to hot pink. In front of me was this lone cloud structure showing all of those colors.
