I love the way the white lily is framed and highlighted by the rich red hibiscus flower in the background. It looks like one very unusual flower.
These white lilies flower each year at Easter time. They remind me of the purity and perfection of Jesus, our savior and Lord. The red hibiscus flower in the background reminds me of His blood that was shed on the cross to pay for our sins - so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to God.
As we approach the Christmas holidays, I am reminded that Jesus was born into this world for the purpose of demonstrating God's love for us and to provide Himself an acceptable sacrifice for our sins as the means of salvation for those who are lost and put their trust in Him.
