This tiny blossom is about 1-2 inch across from petal to petal, possibly a bit smaller. Out where I am, they are hardy little plants that grow slightly below the shorter grass tops.

They are usually found in scattered clumps in slightly shaded areas here in Central Texas. Most times you have to be looking down to find them as they are small clusters of blossoms low in the grass.
