This was one of the first macro photos I took, I was searching for something different that would inspire me. Turns out detail and nature was it. Being able to capture how intricate life is that we just walked by every day was what made me stop and appreciate just how beautiful it is.

Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in my back yard, in a planter by the pool

Time

In the late morning when the dew was starting to evaporate

Lighting

Just the right time and right cloud cover

Equipment

Canon Rebel T5, 100mm Canon Marco lens, f/5.6, 1/100 SS, ISO 800

Inspiration

I just love to take pictures of things that are very detailed, I like to show people what it is that I see when I look through the lens.

Editing

Yes, I used Adobe Lightroom mobile to edit this. God it was a few years ago but really I just brought up the values and darkened a couple things. The pink was really bright and a little washed out so bringing down the exposure just a little and adjusting the red/pink tones helped a lot.

In my camera bag

These days I carry both my 100 and 50mm Macro lenses for my 1d Mark I along with a Fujifilm X-E2 and a couple lenses for that
