Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from a balcony at a resort in Myrtle Beach S.C. I am a self-taught photographer so testing new angles is always exciting.

Time

This is my newest favorite I have taken so far, it was later in the evening around 7:30 PM on July 23, 2023

Lighting

I wanted this image to really show the dramatic sky, the way the clouds hung over the water and each of the flags on the pier were waving in the wind. I feel a lot of dramatic emotion when I look at this image.

Equipment

This was took with an IPhone 12 Pro Max back camera, wide lense 26mm f/1.6. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the way the clouds looked, the beauty of the sky meeting the ocean off in the distance was breathtaking.

Editing

I adjusted the exposure, contrast and lighting.

In my camera bag

I always keep my canon and just a basic lense, I also always keep my IPhone with me so I can snap pictures quickly when I am on the go and cant get to my canon as easily.

Feedback

The ocean is a beautiful place for landscape photos, my advice would be to wait for that moment. The moment you can feel the emotion through your lense, that's when you snap the shot.
