Oh Jayne, thank you. One of my favorites that I found a third way to edit, LOL. And I actually like it best!

Congratulations on your win Ann. I'm amazed this one didn't get the People's Choice as well. It is so much better than mine.

Wow, thank you Joop!!! I’m going to be honest here, I haven’t even seen the ranks yet. Outside working in the yard, LOL.

Location
This photo was taken in Idaho at the Western Pleasure Guest Ranch.Time
The photo was taken in the morning when the ranch owner 'called' the herd in for breakfast. Amazing, no horses in sight and then she called. A cloud of dust preceded them so we knew they were coming. They then came galloping over the hilltop and through the lower pasture.Lighting
Nothing special as the dust overtook the photo although it was taken in the morning light.Equipment
Nikon D750 with a 28-300 lens. Hand held, no tripod.Inspiration
Equine photography has always been my favorite thing to photograph so obviously this scene drew me in and begged to be photographed.Editing
Typical post processing included cropping, clarity, texture and adjustments for lighting. As this is one of my all time favorite photos I have edited it several ways but this particular photo was done in B&W. I was surprised at how dynamic B&W made it appear. In my camera bag
As I tend to be a minimalist when shooting I typically only take what I think I will need. I always have my Nikon Z7ii camera body with my 24-70 mm lens and an extra battery. If I am going to shoot landscape I might add my tripod as I really enjoy doing panoramas. If planning on shooting action I will take a longer lens. And if I get to where I am going and don't have the desired equipment I need I will improvise. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But I learn more each time!Feedback
Sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time. If you know routine then be there at the right time. Or you can go with someone that can guide you and put you there at the right time. And sometimes you just get lucky!
