This photo was taken in the Badlands of ND. I was driving through and suddenly a large group of Buffalo were blocking the road which was awesome as a photographer bit as I looked around with the sunrise there it was. I probably took 100 shots.Time
It was early morning as I was searching for all types of wildlife as the sun came up. I actually missed two big bulls fighting in this same area where I took this shot.Lighting
The Badlands of ND and North Dakota in general is truly a photographers paradise.Equipment
This was shot on my new canon 1 D X Mk iii. As I am writing this I forget what lens I used and would have to look it up.Inspiration
I simply love nature and Wildlife. I camped out the night before with the intention of beating the sunrise and getting a silhouette shot.Editing
Very little post processing. The conditions for the shot were awesome.In my camera bag
I have my Canon 1D X Mk iii, Canon 5D Mk ii, numerous Canon lenses to include the 600 mm bad boy. And Tamron lenses telephoto to wide angle. Bedroom tripod and head as well as a promoter tripod. Numerous packs for cameras and large lenses. I need a pack mule.Feedback
My best advice is to look everywhere. Sometimes the photo you want is right behind you as you are focused on something else
