I do remember it was during the time of the Canadian wild fires during sunset. Would you believe it? .... all the way in Alabama you could see the at first orange.... then very red sun setting with a smoke screen. It was fantastic to observe.Lighting
I tried my very best to capture that moment in time to reflect the actually very orange color.Equipment
I love my Nikon D7000 with the AF-S Nikkor 50-400 mm handheldInspiration
I love the intense color changing from orange like an Orange to red like a stop light red. Amazing to watch the Transformation and what a smoke from so far away can project.Editing
I don't like to use much processing. A little adjustment with a help of a filter - just a tat bit - that's all.In my camera bag
Since I live surrounded by nature, I do not need a bag on a daily base. When out and about ... D7000 or D500, lens Nikkor 18 - 105mm or my DX SWM VR ED HRI 1.4m and an extra battery.Feedback
I love the sunrise/sunset hours. I try to capture the scenery during golden hour and also in the a.m. before 10. In Alabama the sunlight is very intense, so I adjust capturing nature/birds as the temps are not so HELL lol
