I took this photo on my drive out of Darby Cayon after a long day hike up to Wind Cave, Wyoming.Time
This is one of my favorite photographs. It just kind of fell in my lap as it was the perfect time of day and year. Dusk in the Teton Valley always makes for amazing sunsets. However, this July, 2023 sunset was once in a lifetime.Lighting
The lighting for this shot was there, it was perfect. I did, however, have to lay right on the ground and angle my camera up toward the setting sun.Equipment
Believe it or not, I took this shot using only a Samsung Galaxy S23.Inspiration
The Teton Valley boasts awe-inspiring sunsets. As the sun descends behind the mountains, the sky becomes a canvas of vibrant colors. Orange, pink, and purple hues create a celestial panorama that evokes wonder and connection. These sunsets inspire reflection and appreciation for the beauty of the present moment. Witnessing them is a therapeutic release, reminding me of the magic in the world. Teton Valley sunsets leave an indelible mark on the heart and soul, inviting us to embrace the serenity and magnificence that surrounds us.Editing
I did no post-processing on this photograph. What you see is as exactly as I saw it that summer evening. In my camera bag
As I enjoy long-exposure night photography, I carry a lot of extra batteries along with both my Nikon D850 and P1000 cameras. I also carry with my a DJI, RS 3 Gimble for video shoots.Feedback

Experiment with different techniques like long exposures or capturing motion. 7. Aim to tell a story or evoke emotions with your photograph. 8. Practice regularly and continuously learn to improve your skills. 9. Pay attention to the small details and think creatively. 10. Lastly, have fun and let your passion for photography shine through in your work!
