Park-like forests, forest edges and heaths are typical places to find mistle thrushes. These birds like to forage for food in forest clearings and grasslands. In places where they occur side by side, the mistle thrush is most numerous. The blackbird-like vocals - but much louder - consist of short stanzas. Every time the bird seems to get going, the song is cut off again. They sing early in the year, from January and sometimes even December. Mistle thrushes are shy birds.
