The African Stonechat or Collared rock-dweller is a pretty stocky little bird of moors and marshes; which often perches on top of a bush; of a bramble or a pole and utters its incessant cry of alarm "pist-trac". Here is a male bird dwelling in the gorse and the undergrowth on the seashore, of the Crozon peninsula. He is very difficult to approach.
