Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at my work. I found the bloom on the ground and I picked it up and then placed it down gently, got a hose and made a puddle in front of it and then took the picture.

Time

This is one of my best pictures I have taken. It was around 11:00AM.

Lighting

The sun was getting pretty high as it does before noon and I wanted to get it while the light was perfectly shining on it!

Equipment

This was a shot with my IPhone 13 Pro Max as I was at work and did not have my DSLR with me.

Inspiration

It was a perfect bloom although it was on the ground. I saw the contest on View Bug of something yellow and thought this would be the perfect subject to use for the contest!

Editing

The only post process I used was to lower the exposure level since the sun was so bright and I also leveled the image to be straight.

In my camera bag

I always carry my Canon DSLR with my 50mm and 60mm macro lens.

Feedback

Think outside the box and look at your surroundings. Backdrops are just as important as the subject. Make it all come together and tell a story!
