Location

A July weekend in Over Wyre, Lancashire UK at the local village Gala Day Parade.

Time

Sometime around midday.

Lighting

Natural light on a grey, miserable wet day.

Equipment

Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm kit lens

Inspiration

It was our first summer in our new home town and a good way to meet up with local people and to share my photos on the facebook Gala page afterwards. I took many photos of the parade, people on wagons, in other vehicles including a small steam traction engine.

Editing

straightening or cropping is the only post photo work I do. I don't use photoshop.

In my camera bag

Depends on what I have planned.... A normal day out with no photography planned but on the hope an opportunity may arise - my mobile phone and a Canon SX 430-IS as it's light enough to carry round in a jacket pocket. Otherwise, my Nikon D3100 with kit lens 18-55mm and sometimes my 55-300mm lens.

Feedback

I take whatever catches my attention and suggest others do the same. I like to capture moments in time but I also enjoy cities, buildings and architecture and love travel photography.
