Location
Prague, Czech Republic.Time
Probably was early afternoon.Lighting
The photo was taken outdoors in natural light.Equipment
COOLPIX S220, a very simple point and shoot. This is an old photo taken in 2010.Inspiration
The gothic architecture of the Prague Castle towering above the roofs. The imposing structure was impossible to ignore. It is difficult to capture the entire front façade of the castle, including the spires, from ground level within the castle premises. One can only capture the entire castle from a distance but then there are many obstructions. We were visiting another spot which was on higher ground and the castle came into view. However, at that time, I hadn't developed photography as a hobby and was only taking pictures to preserve memories. I wasn't particularly aware of the photographic rules and procedures. The scene was grand and, beautiful and I wanted to make our trip memorable.Editing

Now, I have a Canon PowerShot SX400 IS which is my constant companion. I also now have a Canon 200D II 24.1 MP DSLR with an EF-S 18-55mm is STM lens, an EF-S 55-250mm is STM lens, a Tamron A17E AF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD macro telephoto lens and an EF-S 10-18mm F/4.5-5.6 is STM zoom lens. I use them depending on the trip, the subjects and how I want to capture them.Feedback
Landscape photography is easier when compared to subjects that are mobile. But, composition and light are important aspects for architecture and landscape photography because, they are constant and eternal and many people will capture them at different times. It is the composition that attributes the uniqueness to the same subject whose photo is taken multiple times. The Prague Castle is the most popular landmark for capture in Prague. Whoever visits Prague will have a photo of it. Mine has to be different from the other person's and that difference is my trademark. After I developed photography as a hobby, I have improved on how I capture different subjects and continue to learn as I go.
