Location
This shot was taken of a flowerbox near a neighbors mailbox. The bright colors of the newly blooming flowers caught my eye as I was walking past.Time
It was mid afternoon; Id say, approx 2pm.Lighting
That day was mostly cloudy; and, I just happened to catch a burst of sunshine to help bring out the brightness of the contrasting yellow, background flowers.Equipment
I used my cellphone camera held at an extremely low angle.Inspiration
New springtime flowers are always welcome subjects. I also really liked the spiral shape of the foliage/source of purple flowers.Editing
Yes, I added more contrast to enhance the pistils and stamens of the purple flowers against the yellow of the background flowers. I played with the sliders for highlights and shadows a bit as well, until I was happy with both light and dark contrasts against the yellow. In my camera bag

Be patient with yourself. Take that shot, dont be afraid nobody else will like it... If you see something you find beautiful the chances are that others will see and appreciate that beauty, too.
