Wow how close up and personal is this such detail his teeth those big fangs unreal and the shape of his tongue curled like that super cool just love this image and the beautiful Tiger.

This is my all-time favorite photo of Romeo, the Bengal Tiger; one of the residents at Cat Tales outside Spokane, Washington.Time
It was an overcast morning in the late fall of 2010.Lighting
Lighting was all natural. The sun was shining through trees that surrounds Romeo's enclosure. When I took this shot cloud cover was helping to conceal the chain link surrounding him.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel XTi with a 100-400 telephoto lens. No flash. Had time to set up my tripod. My camera was set to take 6 shots per second bursts.Inspiration
I was watching Romeo lounging around after his morning cat nap and he sat up shortly after I got my tripod and camera focused on him when he yawned! I absolutely love big cats and have always wanted to capture them as naturally as possible conducting daily routines and got absolutely lucky!Editing

I carry my two camera bodies - Canon EOS 1Dx and my Canon 5D everywhere. A 70-200mm telephoto, a wide angle, a 180 mm and my good old reliable 24-70mm. Also, always have spare batteries, flash cards, cleaning cloths and my trusty tripod.Feedback
When shooting animals at a zoo or park, I always bring my telephoto lenses. They aid in eliminating the bars or chain link surrounding when you focus in on your subject. Also, I always make sure that I go in the morning or I work on an overcast day to help eliminate glare. Then, wait patiently for the perfect shot and take as many shots as you can. This photo was one of over 100 take of Romeo that morning! The more photos you take of your subject the better chance you have of getting that one purrrfect shot!
