Park-like forests, forest edges and heaths are typical places to find thrushes. These birds like to forage in forest clearings and grasslands. In places where these occur next to each other, the thrush is most numerous. The blackbird-like vocals - but much louder - consist of short stanzas. Every time the bird seems to get going, the song is interrupted again. They sing early in the year, from January and sometimes even December. Thrushes are shy birds.
