Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Kokoris Bridge, in the region of Zagoria, Greece

Time

Round 06.40 AM Got up about half an hour before dawn & arrived on the road bridge (where I took the photo) before the first light of the morning. At sunrise, the spectacle of nature was simply breathtaking...

Lighting

It had been raining the two days before, but the weather forecast was now optimistic. I knew that from the road bridge vantage view, the sun was going to rise right in the hollow of the valley behind Kokoris Bridge. Got rewarded by this unique reflected red sunrise glowing through the clouds.

Equipment

NIKON D800E + 16-35mm f/4G ED VR

Inspiration

When I first drove on that road bridge, I saw this vantage point of view. It was raining, but I saw that there was definitely something to do with the composition, especially with a good lighting. I saw the weather would be sunny next day, so I decided to put my alarm clock way before dawn in order to be able to capture that scenery during the rising sun.

Editing

As usual, I post-processed my file through Lightroom & Photoshop, in order to catch as much potential of it as possible.

Now, I have a SONY ILCE-7RM2 & FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS E 1.8/50 OSS UV & ND filters
