On July 28, 2017, the fishing vessel, Point Estero, ran ashore in a dense fog in Estero Bay while trying to return to port in Morro Bay. I've been wanting to photograph grounded ships in decay for years...finally got my chance! I set up a 15 second exposure by using a neutral density filter on the lens. It helped to create glassy smooth water. I converted it to black and white for a more timeless-graphic feel.
