Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in an open field by an old abandoned dairy farm in the country. I love finding unique areas like this.

Time

I took this photo later in the day. It was cloudy, almost dreary. It made for a good moody and romantic photo I was hoping for.

Lighting

It was a very cloudy day. It had rained that morning. By the later afternoon it was pretty dreary but I feel it makes for a good dramatic photo.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon Rebel T3i. No flash or any other equipment used. I love how natural shadows create dimension. I am still in the beginnings of my craft and I am self taught so I am saving up for a good professional grade camera.

Inspiration

This couple is in love and I wanted to capture them in their own light.

Editing

I use Lightroom. Adjusted my exposure, contrast, shadows, highlights, luminance and grain.

In my camera bag

I have fallen for the primes. I keep a 85mm, 50mm, and very wide angle lens. Next stop a 35mm. I don't mind moving and getting up close and personal.
