Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken at a historic home in the small town of Walterboro, SC.

Time

This was taken later in the day. Unfortunately, it started to get cloudy and started to drizzle a little bit so we took a lot of portraits on the porch.

Lighting

I love the challenge of low lighting. I like trying to figure out ways to use shadows to my benefit. I use all natural light in my photos.

Equipment

This was taken with a Canon Rebel T3i, 50mm 1.8 lens, manual mode.

Inspiration

With the big wrap around porch and the magnolia tree in the background it seemed fitting for this southern bride.

Editing

I use Lightroom to do post processing. Mostly with the highlights, shadows, blacks and tone curve.

In my camera bag

I would love to keep a 35mm 1.4 on me at all times but currently have a 50mm and 85mm 1.8 for portraits.
