Supreme B&W shot, very interesting in leading lines, reflections and story telling... absolutely love this one, like most of your work very fresh and inspiring... congratulations on your win!

Location
This image was taken along the busy Union Canal path in the Wester Hailes area.Time
It was around 11am and the morning atmosphere was mysterious and slightly eerie due to the fog.Lighting
I liked the dark silhouettes of the bridges and the people/cyclists against the brightness of the fog. Life still goes on even when the visibility is limited. There's a girl walking home from the shops with message bags and someone standing at the bus stop beyond her. I waited for the cyclists' reflections in the water before I took the photo.Equipment
No flash, lenses or tripod. I had my small Canon Powershot SX720 HS. Very compact and discreet. You don't always need a big expensive camera for a worthy shot?Inspiration
The fog, reflections and atmosphere were irresistible. Normally this kind of shot on a normal day would be quite mundane.Editing
I bumped up the contrast a little and changed the image to monochrome. In my camera bag
I normally have a packed back with a bigger camera and tripod with me, but not on this day. Just the small compact camera.Feedback
Have the camera at the ready when the potential for a shot is present.
