Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken at a horse breeding farm in Sharjah U.A.E. this is the Doctor's favorite horse.

Time

This was taken at noon time 12:31 PM on September 30, 2016.

Lighting

The photo was captured on a bright sunny day and no artificial lighting was used.

Equipment

This was taken handheld using Nikon Df camera with a Nikor 60mm micro lens.

Inspiration

The oily healthy color, gorgeous body built and the smart posture of the animal is the big reason that inspired me to capture this image.

Editing

I made a post-processing using the basic adjustments, highlight and shadow in Lightroom and clear the haze to bring the image same as what it is in reality.

In my camera bag

The usual equipment inside my camera bag are My D810 and Nikon Df camera 50mm f1.4, 14-24mm f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, 200-500mm f5.6 set Lee ND filters and polarizing filters, spare batteries, spare memory cards and SB 910 flash, this time I brought with me my 60mm and 200mm micro lens for possible macro shots.

Feedback

I'm still learning and in my experience: Using the proper tools and equipment specially lens is the key to a better photos. Learn to do post-processing to enhance the quality of your image bringing it looks the same as in real life. Bringing extra gadgets is a bit bulky but mostly will give benefit specially during important photography projects. Always be patient and practice, practice, practice makes everything perfect.
