Photo was taken when we just arrived in Al Qudra a government protected wildlife area in Dubai U.A.E.Time
It was 6:17 early morning of September 2, 2016. We come to the place for birds photography.Lighting
The sun was just showing up during the warm and nice day, it was just the ambient light that brought the beauty of the photograph.Equipment
I use my Nikon D810 attached to Nikor 14-24mm f2.8 lens at 64 base ISO and 1/25 sec shutter speed f22 aperture. Fixed on Manfrotto tripod with Benro GH2, a flexible head makes me easy to compose the photo.Inspiration
We arrived early in the location for birds photograph. When I saw the color of the sky and the rays of the sun emerging on the superb cloud formation, it draws my attention and triggers me to fix my tripod and take this photo first since the birds are not yet visible in the area. This was a lucky day because we almost never see clouds in this country where we can count within our fingers the number of times the rain comes in a year.Editing
This photo was post processed using the basic adjustment in lightroom manipulating highlight and shadows, dehaze and vivid camera profile.In my camera bag
Inside my camera bag, usually two cameras D810 Nikon Df or D500, 50mm f1.4, 14-24mm f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, 200-500mm f5.6 set Lee ND filters and polarizing filters,spare batteries, spare memory cards and SB 910 flash. A bit bulky but I don't miss the chance to capture interesting subject that comes on my way (like this) even it is out of my plan.Feedback
Taking picture like this can be done only during sunrise early morning similarly after sunset in the evening. you have to wake up early and sometimes delay your breakfast or diner because you have only about 20 to 30 minutes to capture this golden hour. Just never hesitate to bring all the possible gadgets specially tripod that may be needed when going out for photo shooting.
