Help prevent light pollution and you can see the "BeAuTy Of ThE NiGht!
Appreciating and being grateful to the past, present, & future generations of all Native Nations & Indigenous Peoples, whole ancestral lands we explore, visit and play. Please always impose a LEAVE NO TRACE ethic on your exploration, adventures, & expeditions. Follow local regulations. Love the only planet we have. Please do not trash her. Now, the latest unfortunate trend has been for people dumping the RV waste tanks any place they wish. That's just wrong!

Location
I took the photo in Astoria, Oregon, United States.Time
This was taken right around 4:30 AM.Lighting
My husband had helped me, he did the light painting as I climbed up on top of the shipwreck while exposing my camera into 30 second exposure.Equipment
The equipments I used were my Canon EOS 5Ds, manfratto 055 tripod, flashlight, anon lens EF16-35mm f/2.8 II USM, and Canon trigger release.Inspiration
My very loving father and mother inspired me to capture photos of stars. When I was young at the age of 10 I went away from my parents, to be a working student. We were so poor and I thought that I can finish my schooling and reach my dream if I will be working for as young as I was. When I asked permission from my parents, they said even if you are away from us, just look at the stars and they will lead your way back home. I struggled so much. I need to study hard and of course I need to finish the work assigned to me by the restaurant owner. Everyday, I look at the stars and talking to them and telling them that I missed my parents so much. However, I need to work because that was the only way I can reach my dream. Yes, I went to finish a course and when I finished it I bought a camera and start taking photos of the stars, north star, and milky way. When in the field at night to capture stars it reminds me of the moment when me and my parents were talking and their words that "I must look at the stars always, and it will lead my way back home!"Editing
Yes, in photoshop, so that milky way can be seen clearly to the eyes. I adjusted the saturation and added some sharpness. In my camera bag
I have bean bag, I have back up camera which is the Canon 1DX, and with canon fish eye lens and a flashlight.Feedback
Do research to the location when you want to capture your astrophotography. Do research on the weather condition. Bring clothes for cold, bring bugs spray, don't forget to bring flashlight, have a checklist of the gadgets you want to use and of course do not forget to plan. Planning is very important. Visualize the possible composition you want to capture. For me 50 per cent of your outputs comes from planning. So plan, plan, plan. You can use always the EXPOTHEOPRAC theory of learning. Expo means exposure, Theo - mean theory, Prac - means practice. You need to go to the field and expose yourself, you need to read about your subject and how you can capture it, then you need to practice what you learn. After all the best photographer knows that practice is teaching you to be capture awesome images and editing it by yourself is teaching you twice, and sharing it to the world is teaching you more.
