Location
This was taken on a trip to Dusseldorf, Germany, June 2015. It depicts the River Dussel as it runs through the centre of the city.Time
This was taken in the afternoon.Lighting
It was shot using just natural light. The trees that line the banks filter just enough light.Equipment
No flash equipment was used here. I was using a Canon Powershot 220 compact camera.Inspiration
It reminded me of a Monet as there were water lillies and leaves floating around. It also looks so peaceful even though it is stuck in the centre of a very busy part of the city.Editing
No part processing at all except for putting a frame around it.In my camera bag
A Canon EOS450D, standard zoom lens (28-80mm) and a 70-200mm zoom lens.Feedback
Here I was very lucky that everything fell into place. The light was right and there were not too many distractions. When shooting landscapes one might have to visit a scene a number of times just to get the right level of light right. Patience is a virtue here.
