Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken along the shore of the Liverpool docks.

Time

It was shot around eleven in the morning.

Lighting

This was shot just using natural light. I shot into the light on order to deepen the shadows and enhance contrast.

Equipment

A Canon EOS450D and a 28-80mm lens were used for this shot. The camera was hand held.

Inspiration

I love urban architecture especially modern, concrete structures.

Editing

No post processing was used here.

In my camera bag

I carry 2 camera bodies, one a crop sensor and the other a full frame, 3 lenses covering from 19mm to 200mm, a variety of filters and two flash guns, as well as lens hoods and a monopod.

Feedback

My advice has always been to look at as many images one can get hold of, analyse the light and composition, and go and shoot one's own images. Don't be afraid to fail and learn from one's own mistakes.
