It seems that at Hermann Park in Houston, the birds in general are less shy than their counterparts in other parts of the city. Maybe it's because they run into so many people willing to toss food to them. Whatever the case, this one actually flew towards me rather than me trying to creep closer to him, and landed in this small tree with red leaves that I was literally two feet away from. And the contrast between his blue feathers and the red leaves of the tree was an artist's dream.
