Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in balcony, i'm a food blogger who loves to photograph. I don't have a studio, but i'll love to have one!

Time

It was taken in the middle of the day. As a food blogger, i'm always thinking about new recipes and this one is my favorite. Before celebrating Shavuot hollyday , i've made this lemony cheesecake and I knew right away that she is going to be amazingly photogenic cake!

Lighting

Because i'm using only natural light, i'm always looking for the best time and the place to take my photos. At my parents house i've had a very good light in the middle of the day so its all about the time factor and the place.

Equipment

The photo was taken with my Canon 7D and Canon 100mm 2.8 lens. I've used only a reflector here.

Inspiration

My inspiration is mostly come from photos i see at stock photos sites, food videos or any other platform. I'm always looking for inspiration around me.

Editing

Sometimes you have to do a post processing because the image looks distorted or the colors are pale. All my photos are processed in "Lightroom", i have my presets for any different photo i take (landscapes, animals etc).

In my camera bag

You will always see in my backpack: Canon 50mm 1.8, 10-22mm 3.5-4.5 , 100mm 2.8 and Canon 7D body. If i shot food / animals i'm using the 50mm or the 100mm and if i shot landscapes its always will be with the 10-22mm (shes old but doing a great job!).

Feedback

The best advice i can tall you about photographing food (or any other thing), is to practice! If you don't try new things you will be stuck. Photography can be learned from the internet by yourself, its not so hard after you understand the rules.
